Description
This is an original Florence Knoll Club Chair, model 1205S1. The piece was originally designed by Florence Knoll in 1954, and this particular example dates to 2013. The design features a square tufted back and seat, and is upholstered in a thick dark grey leather. The case sits atop a polished steel base, and the inner frame is constructed of solid wood. Florence’s signature and the KnollStudio logo are stamped into the base of the steel frame.
This chair measures 32.25 inches deep, 32.25 inches wide, and is 31.25 inches high. It has a seat height of 17.25 inches. There is some discoloration and wear along the edges and piping. It appears as though it had a two-tone finish originally with contrasting original piping. There are some scratches and dings on the steel base. Overall, this example is in good vintage condition with wear apparent. Please see photos.
