Description
This is a Time Life Executive Desk Chair, Model ES104, initially designed in 1961 by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This example dates to 1986 and is stamped as such. The model was designed for the lobby of the Time Life Building in New York. This model is slightly less wide than the Time Life Lobby Chair. The piece features a gray powdercoated aluminum frame, and it has a 4-Star swivel base on casters. This model features a manual lift mechanism.
The chair measures 27 inches deep, 26.5 inches wide, and 34.5 inches high, with a seat height of 16.5 inches. There are some small imperfections on the base, and some striations are apparent on the leather upholstery. The front of the seat sags slightly. Overall, this chair is in good condition.
