PH 3 ½ — 2 ½ Floor Lamp

Description

The PH 3½-2½ Floor Lamp is designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the majority of the light downwards. The shades are made of handblown opal three-layer glass, which is glossy on top and sandblasted matte on the underside, giving a soft and diffused light distribution.

The PH Collection was designed by Danish designer, architect, writer, and cultural critic, Poul Henningsen. His lifelong collaboration with Louis Poulsen began in 1924 and lasted until his passing in 1967. To this day, Louis Poulsen still benefits from his genius legacy and continues his heritage working to provide exceptional, glare-free light. In fact, his pioneering work concerning the relationship between light, shadows, glare, and color reproduction – compared to man’s need for light laid the foundation of the lighting philosophy still practiced by Louis Poulsen.
