Description
The Kumahida coffee table was designed for the 100th year anniversary for Hida Sangyo Co. Ltd. It is made of solid walnut with a polyurethane finish. For the table, the tabletop edges are carved to a 4mm thickness, a thin line to evoke lightness. The legs also use a spindle wood section, tilted slightly to express movement like a creature in the forest.
The Kumahida series was designed by Kengo Kuma with Hida Sangyo. He established Kengo Kuma & Associates in 1990. Kengo Kuma proposes architecture that opens up new relationships between nature, technology, and human beings.
