Description
This is a Gate Leg Dining Table, model 4656, originally designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1946. This particular example was produced in the United States circa 1954. . The table features an ebonized wood surface with drop-leaf extensions and gate legs that swing out to support the leaves.
While fully extended, the table measures 40 inches deep, 65 inches wide, and 30 inches high. When one leaf is up, it measures 42 inches wide. When both leaves are down, the piece is 18.5 inches wide. The table shows light wear from previous use including minor scratches and scuffs. Overall, the table is in good to very good condition. Please see photos.
